Do I have Aretha Franklin’s “Say a little prayer for you” song running through your mind with this subject line?
You are welcome ; )
My apologies for allowing a whole week pass by without sending some tips or motivation your way….would you believe I am still in the process of figuring out a good routine now that ‘Back to School Season’ is full force?
It’s like my rough draft day developed into a rough draft MONTH!
Good news is that it is slowly but surely evolving into a workable system.
For one, I am not running around super stressed in the mornings. I have allowed myself a realistic block of time to get up, take care of me, take care of prep and get Tyler up and ready for school…he’s a big 7th grader now!
New dynamic is that Alexander now goes to a 3-year-old preschool two half days a week, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-12:30, an hour later than last year!
So each day is different for our schedules. I will go into more detail this week as to what we have found works and what we need to work upon
I am reminded of the Morning Ritual success strategy (and how I need this).
Did you know…
How you spend the first 90 minutes of your morning is an indicator of how you approach your entire day?
Those who are successful have morning routines that clear their minds, energize their bodies, and prepare them for the day ahead.
I posted the following quote on the Fit Yummy Mummy Facebook Page. It is so uplifting to think each day truly is full of new possibilities…but reality is, we get so caught up in the BUSY of our day, that it all slips by.
“The moment when you first wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the twenty-four hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that, during the day that lies before you, absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn’t, matters not a jot. The possibility is always there.”
– Monica Baldwin
I know I am a work in progress…as is how I spend my time, spend my days.
As our new routine evolves, it is my goal to establish a positive and productive morning ritual.
Think about how your routine has changed since the start of Back to School Season and how you could benefit from creating a new morning ritual.
